you shouldnt miss this restaurant! very delicious!!!making reservation is necessary!
MoreAmazing
So good we ate here twice for dinner, just be sure to make a reservation!Everything was delicious, but we especially enjoyed the suuuuuper tender pork belly, the seafood tartar, and the lotus root. Was a bit of an adventure to try horse meat, although it didnt taste remarkably different.
MoreExcellent
Japanese food great
Delicious homemade tofu, pork stew, venison... menu changes with the season.
Delicious food and the stand out dishes were the mushroom rice and beef stew but all the food was good. Cosy place and no problem getting a table as we were early and off-season.
MoreI have been a favorite since the early days. The skewers have been lost, but there is still a high quality menu.
MoreAwesome food, reasonable prices, but make sure you get a reservation! It's very popular!
MoreAmazing food served in sharing small plate style. They have unique dishes like horse meat but everything we had was delicious and would definitely go back here again! Make sure to book ahead of time because the restaurant is very small and doesn’t fit too many people
MoreChange our schedule without notice. Have English menu but don’t speak English at all. The set menu for buffet is cheap than others however the amount is really poor. Taste is acceptable.
MoreFood quality and taste is great, however cover charge and poor service (long waits for everything) will leave you disappointed.
MoreGreat good and service, you will need to book
Good izakaya snacks, friendly staff and cosy
Warm, cosy atmosphere. Many delcicious small/share plates, to choose from. Stir fried vegetables with miso sauce 🤤👌Reservation is essential
MoreGood price for a reasonable price.
Very standard food. Super slow service, 30 mins waiting time per dish on average. and they forgot about one of our orders but still tried to bill us. 300 yen per person table charge. Would not recommend.
MoreWanted to rate 0 but 1 is as low as it can getExtremely unreasonable staff and service
MoreGreat small restaurant. Recommend the slow cooked pork belly. Also the Yuzu sake, and sake flight.
MoreWorst dining in Japan so far. Bad service and rude server. Made a booking 1+ month ahead but were told that only counter seats are available when we arrive. Don’t waste your money and effort here, there are better places around that area.
MoreIzakaya is pretty much anything. The store clerk should be friendly!
Everything is delicious. One by one. Meat is soft and nostalgic, but also fresh. I want to go because there are some items I haven't eaten yet.
MoreSabagaki - buckwheat dumpling is always my fovorite, which is so soft and it melt once you put it in your mouth. Gpod Izakaya - Japanese pub - in Hakuba. If you are looking for some real Japanese taste (not Western Japanese), this is a place you should try.Sobagaki is delicious. Even if you eat many times, you can melt in the mouth with delicious fluffy. It is a thick taste to me, which usually has a lot of cooking, but I want to go occasionally. I think that it is perfect for those who like alcohol.
MoreCosy, good food to affordable prices.
Good food cooked fresh
Very popular place along echoland main street. Hard to get a place so best to make reservations! Unique selection of dishes, such as cheeses, deer and horse sashimi. Done well but portions were fairly small. Enjoyable but ultimately felt pretty average.
MoreI was able to enjoy the fashionable Izakaya in Hakuba.
Delicious ramen especially after a long day on the slopes! Best to book in advance as it usually gets quite busy during peak season - we walked in and booked for the next day.
Moredelicious. It ’s delicious no matter what you eat. Both the master and the clerk were friendly and had a delicious drink. It is a shop I want in the neighborhood!
MoreA small, busy and friendly restaurant, book in advance if you are there during peak seasons. We ordered: homemade blue cheese tofu, pork vegetable hot pot (recommended), salmon & avocado salad. Food and service were great!
MoreGreat Japanese food really fresh and tasty Ambient typical with warm welcome from the employees. A must if you stay at Ecoland Hakuba. Need to book in advance really busy and popular
MoreVery nice food, grilled vegetables in miso 👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing food! Had the blue cheese tofu, goats cheese sake rice lees, and the soba dumplings. Really nice atmosphere as well.
MoreFood was only so so, but had to go through a lot of trouble getting a booking. Some good dishes here and there, but overall a fairly average experience. Given the amount of hype this place gets, I'd say it doesn't quite live up to it. Prices are not cheap either. Also, you're forced to order minimum one drink per person, and there is a cover charge as well. Just something to be aware of.
MoreGood homemade food
Great little gem located on the end of Echoland. The food is always really delicious and the selection of dishes is very varied. The menu changes up but you can always get a good bowl of miso. Pork belly is a great warmer. Also recommend the cucumber and miso paste. My only gripe is the staff are a little disorganised with taking the right food out but most of this is the language barrier.
MoreEvery dish was very deliciousEven if you are near your house, you will always want to goThe better the type of liquor, the better
MoreLoved our dinner here. All of the dishes we ordered were excellent.
The place is cosy and the waitress and waiter are friendly. Food quality is not bad especially the fried garlic rice, soba with egg, chicken soft bone , pork belly. We didn't get to order nabe as it was sold out even we went early at 6:30pm.Do note that may take quite some time to take order but they serve the food quite fast.
MoreGot turned away when I asked for a table for 2 even though there were open counter spots. Other folks without reservation as well got a table immediately, albeit for table for 7. Weird... you better reserve before going.
MoreNo food, no eggs, no chicken, no tofuI refused every dish I ordered without any alternativesThere are a lot of chicken-centered dishes on the menu, and when there are no chickens, there is almost nothing to ask.I asked for a drink, but the clerk forgot it and it was the lowest shop with only food on the table even after 20 minutesIn the end, the canceled items have been added to the accounting ...Never go again. You should also look at the receipt at the time of accounting
MoreI ordered a menu around 5700, surprisingly I got the check more than 7000. When I paid, I found that the waiter added an additional 1320 to the bill after the surcharge about 10% tax. He even didn't tell me when give me the check. When I checked the items, it was said there was an additional fee of 1200 per table with 10% tax. But he never told me about the surcharge, we have order each person a drink, but there was still such a surcharge. Please check before you pay.
MoreIf you are looking for a place to just get drinks and some food, this is the place. If you are really starving, I wouldn’t recommend this place since it’s a bit pricey and the portions are a bit small given the price. Overall, the food is still good. The only thing I don’t like about the place is the fact that they require you to order a drink and can’t even get tap water for free...
MoreFood was ok. The serving size is not much. Not full. High priceThere was no explanation for the edamame that was given after seating. Finally, I went to the grocery store and bought three buns to eat.
MoreIt's the best!It was wonderful stall. Come on
Waste of time and money. Waited an hour for fried rice and ramen. Ridiculous! They'll also add a sneaky table surcharge to your bill.
MoreMust try the blue cheese tofu (if you’re a blue cheese fan) and the local deer. My 2 favourite dishes of the night.
MoreWe stumbled upon saraguka in the off season (there was hardly anywhere else open) and were pleasantly surprised. It was easily the best food we had in Hakuba. Really nice shared dishes and super well priced. Recommend the blue cheese tofu, mushroom risotto, deep fried chicken, miso pork + more. Must try.
MoreSalmon sashimi is super tasty! We ordered noodles with seafood, kebabs - very greasy, to taste - nothing special.
MoreGood food indicative of the local area. (Shinshu)Reasonably priced for its central location. Staff have good English. Good range of locally produced sake. This is not a fast food shop. Settle in for the evening and enjoy slow life and food and drinks with friends. Singles at counter is ok. Talkative staff. Best spot to get a meal in exholand.
